Random Ramblings and a Giveaway Reminder

This time of year, my mind whirls with random thoughts. It's as if my brain is making short hand notes of everything that needs to be done: holiday cleaning and decorating, cooking and baking, shopping and wrapping - all in addition to the normal mental notes for work, home, and family duties. Can you relate?

Random Thought #1 - Last summer when I redecorated our bathroom, I told you I still wasn't finished with this wall. It just doesn't look complete. In the past months, I've been looking at bathroom cabinets and shelving units. Will it be done before the holidays? Doubtful....maybe by Easter.

Random Thought #2 - Have you started your holiday shopping? Normally, I have at least a fourth of my shopping complete. This year...um....I have only a few gifts bought. Am I panicked? Not yet, but I'm hoping Black Friday will be very successful for me.

Random Thought #3 - Could you use a financial booster for your holiday shopping? I know I can (reference Random Thought #2). Don't forget that December 1-5 I am participating in a Holiday Gift Giveaway Hop along with hundreds of other blogs. Each blog hosts their own giveaway (gift cards and cash) and are all linked together so you can easily move from blog-to-blog. I'm very excited about this giveaway and hope you will stop by to enter.

I hope you are enjoying your weekend. Rest up because the holiday sprint to New Years Eve is about to begin. La

  2. Yikes La! Our home is in escrow and should close the the first or second week of December and we are moving across state with no home yet. I'm facing homelessness and have about 1/4 of my Christmas done. So I'm going to take a really big deep breath and pray.

We rented a huge cabin and are having an old fashioned Christmas with all of our kids. I am so excited for that if I can just get there!

  5. Hi...I've begun shopping, but not nearly as far along as I have been in the past...My girls want big presents this year (and of course the whole family focus will be on Carter as he will have an idea of what to do with his presents this year!)I just caught up on reading your last few posts...I saw the manatees at the Cloumbus Zoo when I was there in the spring (my fav was the kangaroos!) Love that zoo and Carter spends quite a bit of time there - he was a zoo keeper for halloween! I'll be going to Fla in 2 weeks - In over 35 years of going to Fla, I have NEVER seen a manatee there!...Got the xmas lights up outside today...weather is suppose to drop this week and we might see some flakes!! YUK...

  8. I can relate. I have to have our Christmas things done early because of several different family celebrations. I've bought a few things, but not nearly what I need to buy. I'm starting to think about decorating, but I'm still getting things back to normal since getting home from the trip Tuesday. See, even my comment sounds "scattered"!
