I Have a Date!

Jordan's love for reading is largely the result of the fabulous Harry Potter series by J. K. Rowling. He's read each book at least once.

From the first movie, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, we started the tradition of going to see the movie together. This was a necessity in the beginning since Jordan was too young to take himself. However, even as he grew into a teenager, when it isn't cool to be seen at a movie with your mother, we still went to these special movies together.

Therefore, I have a date this weekend to see Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I with my wonderful son, who is now a young man. Is it OK to be seen with your mother at the movie theater when you are nearly 21? It doesn't matter. We'll be there.

  5. La,
This is awesome. Mine HP fans are at a tender age. I don't think I can get a date out of them, but I would love to go. This was the best book but, the second half was my favorite. Have fun!

  9. Hope my son WANTs to go to a movie with me when he is 21! My kids are planning to go -- so is it a good thing that the last book is split up into two movies? I am not sure. Have a great time at the movie! Joni

  10. Absolutely NOT!!! Curt took me after he got married and had Makayla. We always tried to get together for a Mother, Son day. Now that he's a busy, traveling man it's harder to do so make sure to keep it up as long as it will last!!!
