Oh my gosh, I heard about it, but we didn't feel it here in New Orleans...What an event! I sure hope there won't be any more, that's for sure. Wishing you a happy evening, my friend!!
Felt it here in SC... had just gotten in the car in the park and thought someone had come up from behind and was rocking it. It lasted about 30 seconds.
Heard about it on the radio here in the UK. Pleased to hear no one was injured. I see that the Spires on the main tower of Washington's National Cathedral were damaged.
Great music! Didn't feel a thing while on vacation in western, MA, but a friend near Philly hear what sounded like a truck and saw the melons ripening on her counter roll back and forth. She said that it was spooky!
Thanks for your visit to my Boy into the Surf painting - I do that at the beach, too, but only in my mind now!
I remember about 28 years ago or so...my BIL got married and there was an earthquake...a pretty good sized one...the night after the wedding...he said that song came to mind...funny how your post made me think of that!
I was sitting in my living room chair reading some blogs (like I never do that!) and thought I was getting light headed. I thought it was weird, but didn't realize it happened to other people until I saw the news.
Happy to see you stop by, La. Even happier to hear that you're safe after yesterday's tremor. On the other side, we've got hurricane Irene, who barely missed us in South Florida, but we're getting plenty of her rain and storms as she blows on by. Hoping everyone up north stays safe. I look at your palm tree and remember how I was staring as ours dancing last night. After living here for over 40 years, I can always tell a brewing storm when a palm tree dances to a certain beat. ;) Enjoy your day.
I heard that even the president, who was golfing in Martha's Vineyard, felt it, too. Wow!

Oh man, I didn't feel it. I think I was driving then.
ReplyDeleteWe're in western NC now and my dishes rattled in the drainboard. That was sure weird. Glad no one was hurt.
ReplyDeleteYep, I was a kid the last time I remember a quake!

ReplyDeleteI hummed this song during dinner...lol!
Didn't feel it all the way out here in Texas but we've been watching it all on tv today.
ReplyDeleteScary stuff...

ReplyDeleteThey say it was felt in Illinois, but we were actually driving down the highway when it hit and didn't notice a thing!
