Blast from the Past: I Feel the Earth Move

Did you feel the earth move today?

Shortly after lunch my office building, in Dublin, Ohio, started to sway to the music.  I couldn't help but think of this old Carole King song.

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!

  1. I heard that even the president, who was golfing in Martha's Vineyard, felt it, too. Wow!

  3. We're in western NC now and my dishes rattled in the drainboard. That was sure weird. Glad no one was hurt.

  6. Felt it here in SC... had just gotten in the car in the park and thought someone had come up from behind and was rocking it. It lasted about 30 seconds.

  9. Heard about it on the radio here in the UK. Pleased to hear no one was injured. I see that the Spires on the main tower of Washington's National Cathedral were damaged.

Take care Jackie in Surrey, UK.x

  10. Great music! Didn't feel a thing while on vacation in western, MA, but a friend near Philly hear what sounded like a truck and saw the melons ripening on her counter roll back and forth. She said that it was spooky!

Thanks for your visit to my Boy into the Surf painting - I do that at the beach, too, but only in my mind now!

  13. I was sitting in my living room chair reading some blogs (like I never do that!) and thought I was getting light headed. I thought it was weird, but didn't realize it happened to other people until I saw the news.

  14. Happy to see you stop by, La. Even happier to hear that you're safe after yesterday's tremor. On the other side, we've got hurricane Irene, who barely missed us in South Florida, but we're getting plenty of her rain and storms as she blows on by. Hoping everyone up north stays safe.
I look at your palm tree and remember how I was staring as ours dancing last night. After living here for over 40 years, I can always tell a brewing storm when a palm tree dances to a certain beat. ;)
    Enjoy your day.
