Barnyard Bash

Howdy Friends!

Why did the chicken cross the road?

To get to the Barnyard Bash over at
Happier Than a Pig in Mud, of course.

Come on over and join in the fun.

There’ll be ~

Pigs oinkin'

Vittles cookin’

And fiddles playin’!

Fun will be had by all who participate. Yeehaw!

  1. Vittles? who thought of using that word to describe food? I am fascinated to know!

  2. Hi La! Too cute, I'm lovin' your watermelon pig! And I'm always up for vittles! Thank you so much for joining in, I'll see you tonight:@)

  3. Hi Kath!

The actual spelling is victuals, but pronounced vittles. I associate the reference to country folk with humble backgrounds.

    Thanks for stopping by. La

  4. It sounds like fun! Especially the Pigs oinkin' and the fiddles playin’! Yeehaw! :-)

  5. Hi La, looks like it is going to be fun. Fiddles playing. Why do we never have fun things like that round here ? Jane xx

  6. Well, La, I'm sure glad this Chick crossed the road to get to the Barnyard Bash so I could stop by for some vittles and fiddles. Cute post for the BASH. Nice to meet you. Hope you'll have time to visit CollectInTexas Gal where my barnyard is full of Gossipin' Goats...Sue

  8. A watermelon pig! I have to grow a few of those. Enjoyed your party.

  9. I don't want to know about the word vittles. I want to know what kind of a mind creates a ceramic pic/watermelon. I mean really, where does that thought come from. Well he is really cute.
