When the weather improves, I start thinking about spring projects. I have two major room makeovers in my sights for this year, the kitchen and the den.
Today, I am daydreaming about the den. Right now, this poor little room serves as a catch all for everything. Frankly, it is a mess and an embarrassment to me.
I have dreams of making it into an office/sanctuary for me. One of the purchases I am considering is a new computer desk. I googled computer desks for home and found some fantastic options.

Hi La....I guess it all depends on what color and style you like but then you have to consider how you are going to use the desk...bill writing, office supply storage and also how much room it has. Do you have a desktop computer or a laptop. I do like the look of the first one but not sure about that stain of wood. I might like an antique stain. Enjoy this beautiful weather today!~Hugs, Patti

Have fun with your decorating project. My computer desk is something I have had since we were married. It's been repainted, but it isn't pretty like those you have featured. Joni P.S. Weather in the 60's -- woo hoo -- I remember the weather you had this winter.

ReplyDeleteI agree, it depends on the space you have and the colors you want. No 1 is wonderful and No 2 is a gorgeous idea for a corner. I am curious what you will chose. Planning is the very nice phase of room makeovers. To start with the work is less nice. But when everything is over, you have a great room and then all the mess is forgotten.

I'm for number 2. I'd put it in the front corner so you can see outside and if anyone is walking around in the living room!! Plus it looks like it wouldn't take up as much room as the other two.
ReplyDeleteI love the first desk, it doesn't look like a computer desk, it looks like real furniture. We have a list of projects to work on here too. We've been in our house almost 8 years and I want to put a fresh coat of paint on the walls. Our first project is going to be new countertop in the kitchen if we can find the time to pick out what we want. I can't wait for that change.
