The sun is shining over Marion, Ohio today. Yahoo!
I've been in a mid-winter funk these past few weeks and we aren't even at mid-winter. The lack of sunshine, warmth, and fresh air makes it a bit difficult to keep my resolution to make the best of each day.
The time has come for me to shake the funk, to get a new attitude, and to celebrate the day, the week, the month and YOU.
The day: The sun is shining and that is worth celebrating.
The week: This is the week we celebrate a great American, Martin Luther King, Jr.
The month: This month marks the 50th anniversary of my birth. YIKES!
YOU: I am so fortunate and thankful for all of you who visit my blog each day. You are all so special to me and I think about you throughout the day, especially during my commute.
The Giveaway
Each one of you deserve a little pampering, lots of love and a surprise or two. This giveaway includes it all.

ReplyDeleteHappy Sunny Day In January-Gotta love it!
ReplyDeleteI'm cooking more, started taking vitamins and now that it's light after work, things just feel better! (Also love that the Jets beat New England:@)
Thanks for the chance at the fun give-away!
Oh, La!! Happy Birthday, early!! What a sweet and generous giveaway!!
ReplyDeleteThe winter does seem so long already. I try to keep busy inside by doing all of the things I never do when I am outside in the summer!! I really do enjoy nestling in my home, but it is important to get a little fresh air everyday, even a few minutes to get the mail. It feels good.
We live in the same climate and I feel the way you do a lot. I am always here if you want to complain a little!! ;-D
XO,
Jane
This winter has been so harsh that it does seem long already. Like Blondie, I try to catch up on inside chores I neglect when I go out more. I also watch more movie DVD's and read more books. The days are beginning to grow longer and that helps to cheer me up!
ReplyDeleteYes, I'm definitely a follower of your blog!
ReplyDeleteHello La,
ReplyDeleteI am trying to make the best of winter in several ways. First is the time before Christmas: I prepare everything for a relaxed nice Christmas day. Second part of winter is after the New Years Eve. I am planning the new year, f.e. making a garden plan and start a new project which keeps me busy. So time is running and soon I will arrive in my my favoured seasons as spring/summer/fall.
Greetings, Johanna
Hello la,
ReplyDeleteI am very amazed that I wasn't signed as a follower on your blog. But now I am. That's a cute give away.

An I have linked it on my blog.

I'm making the best of winter, by closing my eyes and hoping it goes away. Oh, and trying to get some inside projects done before Spring fever hits!
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm a loyal follower.
ReplyDeleteAnd you're on my sidebar!
ReplyDeleteHave a good day today!
La, Pam's comment cracked me up! I wish it would go away soon, too! But during this interim, I'm trying to paint, re-decorate, and contemplate selling my house! Can;t wait to start some projects. Although I DO wish I was on some exotic excursion.....
ReplyDeletehugs, Sue
And you know I'm a follower!
ReplyDeleteAnd you are now on my sidebar!
ReplyDeleteHi La, This month is my anniversary too (actually today) and I am no longer in the 50's sadly. The years are just rushing by. This is a gorgeous give-away and I would love to be entered. Seeing everything cold and brown really depresses me. So I start rearranging everything in my house to freshen things up a bit. That's makes me happy. :)
ReplyDeleteP.s. I am following and my email is on my sidebar. :)
ReplyDeleteI really, really, REALLY don't care for winter. But, since it tends to take over about 1/3 of the year here, in Michigan, I really have no choice but to try to make the best of it. Long, hot showers are always good. I bake constantly because the oven warms the house (it does the same in the summer, so baking is out!) Um... snuggling is always a good way to spend the winter - hubby, kids, & me all covered up on the bed watching a movie is always welcome!

ReplyDeleteHappy 50th!
Hi La...I've been making the best of winter by drinking lots of hot tea, appreciating all of the wonderful pictures that fellow bloggers post of their snow, and by being grateful that I live in the one state without snow but lots of Sunshine. I think it was 72 degrees this afternoon.

Making the best out of winter involves staying indoors most of the time and enjoying lots of baking, crafting and enjoying my online friends. The only way I make the best out of winter if it involves being outdoors is to have children with whom to take sleding or build forts with. Looking forwrd to Spring is another way to best enjoy winter. LOL

What a fun giveaway with the surprise!
ReplyDeleteOk, I almost feel like I'm cheating with the winter question considering it was 83 degrees today. The problem is that it's a little crazy, our weather. tomorrow the high is only going to be 70 degrees, which is kind of winterish here. Hope the answer doesn't disqualify me. :)
