Welcome to A Musing Potpourri’s Ice Cream Social! Today is National Ice Cream Day; what better occasion for my first link party? Come on in and make yourself at home.
Whether you like your ice cream in a bowl with lots of toppings

I thought it would be fun to have a sundae bar today. Jordan and my nephews love it when we have a sundae bar…although Haiden is a goofball and likes only white ice cream. Don’t even try to sneak French Vanilla past him…
The table is set just for you. I bought these polka dot plates and red bowls at Walmart on clearance. Aren’t they cheerful? The bowls are big enough so you can build an impressive ice cream tower of goodness. The dessert spoons are dipped in chocolate....YUM! I found the sweet favors at Party City. Each spoon has a heart-shaped bowl and the handle reads Scoop of Love. So cute!
Instead of cupcakes, my cupcake stand is holding cups of ice cream toppings. There are assorted chopped candy bars, nuts, gummies, and coconut. You have your choice of syrup as well. Chocolate, caramel, fudge…what is your favorite? Don’t forget the whipped cream and cherry!
This is such a fun dessert to have with kids, but one word of advice…make sure you have at least one extra can of the whipped topping. Whether it is piled high atop a grand sundae or squirted directly into the mouth (yes, Aunt La
What is your idea of the perfect ice cream sundae?
I’m so happy that you are here to join in the fun. All participants will be entered to win this 8-piece ice cream serving set from Martha Stewart and a complementing Zyliss ice cream scoop. Not only that, but four of you will be drawn to receive one of the Scoop of Love favors.
So what did you bring to share today?

MAKE IT A GREAT DAY!
Hi La! This post is cute and what a fun party! My favorite "sundae" would be DQ Peanut Buster parfait - or it it has to be homemade, a plain old hot fudge sundae. I enjoyed reading this and would love to be a winner of your ice cream items. Thanks for doing that; it's very generous of you.

Looks like we're off to a great start! I love all of your wonderful toppings! And none of us can 'top' Skylar for cuteness! HAVE FUN! Eat ice cream! ♥
ReplyDeleteSo cute! Your grandson is adorable! We do the same with the reddi whip in my house. Isn't that how you're supposed to do it? Right in the mouth. Fun party, enjoyed your post!
ReplyDeleteHappy National Ice Cream Day La! Lovin' the way you used the cupcake stand! Skylar's a cutie and thanks for a chance to win the fun give-aways:@)
ReplyDeleteLa, first of all thanks for hosting. I am anxious to try some of these recipes here. Can you believe that this is the first time I have broke out the ice cream maker this summer? I have my own Skyler (17 now). Cute idea to use the cupcake holder for ice cream toppings; I have one of those holders. Love your new palm tree background and thanks for the giveaway opportunity.
ReplyDeleteYum! La, this looks like so much fun and yummy too! I can't join you this time around because I'm on vacation and on the way out the door. Pity too, because I have the cutest ice cream bowls. Perhaps next time I will be able to join you! Have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Sandi
Love your spread! That is such a great idea you thought of with your cupcake holder. These socials are so much fun - I've linked mine to yours. Hope you'll do the same :-) And lets do it all again next year!
ReplyDeleteI really like your use of the cupcake stand for all the different toppings. So creative! I bet it was delicious too.

Best wishes,

I made it!! I can't begin to tell you the problems I have been having with Blogger, I almost thought I would not be able to link up. Links to your blog and two others show in my draft, but when I published, no links!!!! The baby in the first photo is so adorable! Love it. xo
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea a sundae bar is, I'm sure your grands loved making their own selections. Using your cupcake stand that way is really thinking outside the box and I'm sure is bound to catch on with other bloggers!
The pretty red and white china makes it all perfect.
Hi La,
ReplyDeleteHow totally fun!!! What a beautiful party, my friend! I had to think and think to come up with something...lol
