Crock Pot Wednesday: Pulled Pork

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it is sometimes nice to have dinner ready when I get home from work. Today, I am sharing Crock Pot Pulled Pork with the readers at Dining with Debbie's Crock Pot Wednesday Link Party.

All the spices you need are in this little packet from McCormick. You simply add the following:

1/2 Cup Ketchup
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1/3 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

The packet says to use 3 lbs. of pork shoulder roast. I use a package of country style pork ribs. Cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.

By the time I get home from work, the house smells like a BBQ joint, smokey and sweet. I simply need to stir the meat to break it down, make some side dishes, and dinner is ready.

Stop over at Debbie's and see what's for dinner.

  1. I love doing that, I just squirt lots of BBQ sauce and season it up. We fixed a big crock pot of red beans and sausage yesterday. Ummm.

  2. I make this quite often and the leftovers just get better and better.

  3. That looks fabulous. And I am so happy you had peas. I love peas and my husband hates them so the only time I eat them is when we go out and they serve them at a restaurant (and when do you ever see peas on the menu). I need to check out the other crock pot recipes because I'm all for the easy foods.

  4. Looks great La! Lovin' the addition of vinegar to give it a little bite:@)

  5. I made crock pot pulled pork this week, good! Great minds think alike LOL!

  6. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, sounds yummy!!
I am going to try this recipe. Thanks for your comments on my blog. Life has been getting in the way of me blogging-imagine that :) Anyway, thanks for sharing this recipe.
    Take care, Jeanette

  7. We've had CPPP already...lovin it :D
When I come home from work and walk in the door I love smellin' what surprises he has in the CP...and I love peas too :D

  8. La, this looks and sounds delicious! I'm going to try it when I get back home.
    Have a good week, Annette
