Crock Pot Wednesday: Pulled Pork

With the hustle and bustle of the holiday season, it is sometimes nice to have dinner ready when I get home from work. Today, I am sharing Crock Pot Pulled Pork with the readers at Dining with Debbie's Crock Pot Wednesday Link Party.

All the spices you need are in this little packet from McCormick. You simply add the following:

1/2 Cup Ketchup
1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, firmly packed
1/3 Cup Apple Cider Vinegar

The packet says to use 3 lbs. of pork shoulder roast. I use a package of country style pork ribs. Cook for 4 hours on high or 8 hours on low.

By the time I get home from work, the house smells like a BBQ joint, smokey and sweet. I simply need to stir the meat to break it down, make some side dishes, and dinner is ready.

Stop over at Debbie's and see what's for dinner.

  1. I love doing that, I just squirt lots of BBQ sauce and season it up. We fixed a big crock pot of red beans and sausage yesterday. Ummm.

  3. That looks fabulous. And I am so happy you had peas. I love peas and my husband hates them so the only time I eat them is when we go out and they serve them at a restaurant (and when do you ever see peas on the menu). I need to check out the other crock pot recipes because I'm all for the easy foods.
