St. Patrick's Day Mantel

Hello Friends.

Saturday I took down all the Valentine's Day reds and replaced them with St. Patrick's Day greens.  Today, I am sharing my mantel at Tabletop Tuesday and Nifty Thrifty Tuesday.  Stop by and see what other bloggers are doing in their homes.
First, this vignette cost me $4.80.  The beer stein with the Irish toast was only $1 at Goodwill.  The toast?
May you be in heaven a
half hour before the Devil
knows you're dead.
The crown was in the 80% clearance aisle at Hobby Lobby and cost $3.80.  The pony tail palm was a gift from my cousin, Melanie when I visited Fort Pierce last year for St. Patty's Week.  It has grown so much and I'd like to transplant it to a nice container, but I'm afraid I'll kill it.  That would break my heart.
This slate was also purchased at Hobby Lobby.  It was less than $5.  I coupled it with this wooden shamrock from Jo Ann.
Finally, this vignette features a green star I bought at Jo Ann in the clearance aisle, a simple candle, and this wonderful pitcher.
For those of you who have featured pitchers on your blog, you know how much I ooh and aah over them.  I fell in love with this Alfred Meakin gem at the Scott's Antique Market in Columbus last weekend.  It was marked $26, but I was able to bring it home for $20.  This is my first piece of transferware.  I looked the pitcher up on and it had a $70 price tag on it.  For me, it could be worth $3.50 and I'd still love...Love..LOVE IT!
Pulling it all together
Be sure to stop by Thursday to see my March tablescape.

  1. I think your St. Patrick's day decorations are unique. You don't have all that tinsely stuff you see around the stores.
I will not be decorating for St. Patrick's day as we just moved in and are still putting the house back in some kind of order.

  2. It is St Davids day here in Britain, the patron saint of Wales. My hisband has a tie (being Irish) which he wears on ST Patricks day, it says "Kiss me, I'm Irish". He refuses to tell me whether any ladies take up his invitation LOL

  3. You did a great job. Loved all your green especially that pitcher.

  4. The mantle looks great La! Lovin' your new transferware pitcher! I might need to find some of that myself:@)

  5. Wonderful! I love the demensional clover and sign. Very festive! Your new pitcher is VERY nice too!

  6. I don't decorate for St. Pat's but I love what you did. That pitcher is a treasure...I would have wanted it too!

  7. I think your St Pat's mantel looks fab. I think you got an awesome deal on that lovely pitcher. Thanks for sharing the green. Hugs, Ginger
